Why did God call Satan (Lucifer) our adversary? God created Lucifer and placed him over all the angels on earth. Lucifer was a good leader of worship, and he was also beautiful and rich. At some point, Lucifer developed pride — sin. Then he decided that riches and beauty were not enough; he wanted to be praised just like God.
Lucifer made a gigantic leap in his thinking and concluded that if he was beautiful, rich, and worshiped like God, then he might as well be God. This marked the beginning of the first war, and God cast Lucifer out of heaven.
